Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley, one of the best-known and wealthiest Reggae artists was born on February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. He was a part of Shottas a film that has become a legend with Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed to Shang Records where he recorded his debut album in 1996. Like Father Like Son and several singles including Judge Not With Patra then Dear Dad" (which topped the British reggae charts) Who The Cap is (remix) and Sensimelia each of which contributed to his increasing popularity among the new wave of reggae artists. In 1997, Ky-Mani formed a band together with Praswell (Fugees) on Avenue an acclaimed cover from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared at the Midem show (an international showcase of music), which was first held in Miami. At the Cameo Theatre Marley performed a set which was aired live on the Caribbean News Agency to 36 countries. Marley was a target in auction warfare. In 1997 he joined Gee Street/V2 Record.
