Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. The name of her can be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and media. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and being awed by the sounds it would make. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music not to get an income or as a pastime, but as an opportunity to develop. In order to do so she started writing her own original compositions. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had told her that her songs would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their importance in the world and realize how they can benefit from them, she decided to begin playing in front of the public. At age 6 She began playing the piano, and when she was nine began writing her own songs. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The only thing she loves is to compose music. According to her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
