Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina continued to win with a silver-medal in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 a gold medal in 2011, and was the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia, who began her professional career in 2003, won in 2012 and the 2016 Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. It was also the WMC World Championships also held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thai World Champion. Antonina's last fight was in the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko began the professional phase of her MMA profession in the year 2002, with an impressive win against Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO in round two and her two subsequent matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to concentrate on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui in the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by the same decision. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the final clinch. Antonina Shevchenko received an UFC Contract after this victory. Shevchenko went 1-2 in her next 3-fights, defeating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee.
